It is free to evaluate AdaptableBlotter.JS.
However all end-users of a product which includes the Adaptable Blotter in a production environment must have a valid Adaptable Blotter licence.
There are 3 varieties of Licence Scope:
End-User: This is the most straightforward - each end-use of the Adaptable Blotter pays a single end-user price.
Team: Where there are large groups of end-users (typically more than 30) we offer a Team Licence which covers all members of the team.
Universal: This offers access to unlimited users and unlimited usage for a client. These are particularly useful in scenarios where our customers cannot manage or know end-user numbers (e.g. if they are a software vendor, or provide a website).
Each licence guarantees:
One year of access to the Adaptable Blotter - for all underlying grids and both the .JS and .NET versions
12 monthly updates (minimum)
Copy of the source code
There are 3 Licence Type options available:
Enterprise: This gives full read / write access to all functions in the Adaptable Blotter, including external modules like charting.
Standard: This gives access full read / write access to all internal modules in the Adaptable Blotter. External modules like charting are available but their state (e.g. any charts created) cannot be saved or pre-loaded.
Community: Charities, students, contributors to open-source projects and those evaluating the Adaptable Blotter can use a Community Licence which provides all functionality in the Adaptable Blotter free of charge. The only restriction is that state cannot be saved (nor pre-loaded as Predefined Config).
The Community Licence doesn't include any support.
If, at the end of the year, you choose not to renew, AdaptableBlotter.JS will continue to work but you will not be eligible for further updates or to access Support.
The Adaptable Blotter licence does not include a licence for the underlying vendor grid. So if you partner the Adaptable Blotter with a commercial vendor grid, you must ensure to pay for that licence separately.
The Adaptable Blotter support team will provide you with a Licence Key that will determine the nature of the licence you have.
You need to set the value of this Licence Key to be the licenceKey property in Blotter Options (See Blotter Options for more details).
For more information see Licence Key.
It is free to evaluate the Adaptable Blotter - simply install from npm and follow the steps in our Getting Started Tutorial.
However if you want to do a full POC - where you will pre-load the Blotter with your own Adaptable Blotter objects and save them to your state - you will require a Licence Key. This will be provided on request, and the cost is then fully subtracted from any subsequent Licence purchase.
