The Advanced Search function allows you to search for one or more values across as many columns as you want. This is useful when you need to create complex searches, with multiple search criteria applied to several columns at the same time.
To set up an Advanced Search, you need to create a Query and then supply a name. When you apply the Advanced Search AdaptableBlotter.JS will only display those rows that match all of the Conditions in the Query. (For more information on creating queries see Queries).
You can manage your Advanced Searches from the Advanced Search Function Toolbars.
To apply an Advanced Search that has already been created, select the required search from the dropdown in the Advanced Search Function Toolbar. The search will immediately be applied and the grid will display on rows that match the Advanced Search's query.
To clear an Advanced Search click the cross in the dropdown in the Advanced Search Function Toolbar. This will clear - but not delete - the Search, so it will still be available in the dropdown for future use.
To create an Advanced Search and define its search criteria (query) click on the New Button in the Advanced Search Function Toolbar and follow the steps in the Advanced Search Wizard. This will include creating a Query for the Search. For more information on building and editing Queries using multiple Conditions and Criteria see Queries. The name that you give to the Search is what will subsequently appear in the dropdown.
To edit an Advanced Search click the 'Edit' button in the Advanced Search Function Toolbar and it will start the Advanced Search Wizard. You are able to change both the Query and the Name.
To delete an Advanced Search click the 'Delete' button in the Advanced Search Function Toolbar.
You can, alternatively, apply, clear, create, edit and delete Advanced Searches from the Advanced Search popup.
