With the search and filter features in AdaptableBlotter.JS, it's easy to 'drill down' into your data in order to display only the values that are relevant to your work.
Searches apply to the entire grid, so they are useful for finding values across multiple rows and columns.
Filters work at column level and ensure that only rows where the column contains the given value are shown.
Use Quick Search to search for a specific value in all rows and columns
Search across multiple columns with Advanced Search
Create a User Filter so you run the same search repeatedly with a single click.
Set up a Named Filter at design-time and provide a predicate function which will evaluate the filter when run.
Use a Column Filter to restrict a column to specific values.
Take advantage of the Quick Filter to quickly find the rows you need using free text.
All searches are "live". So any edits that you make in the grid will automatically be subject to any searches or filters currently active.
By default all searches and filters work on the client with data already downloaded. If you would prefer to run your searches on the server that is possible too - see Server Searching for more details.
