The Dashboard is the area at the top of the Adaptable Blotter interface designed to give you quick access to commonly used Functions. It contains the Home Toolbar and Function Toolbars.
You can 'minimise' the Dashboard by clicking the UP chevron on the right hand side of the toolbars. This will leave just the name of the Blotter in a small expandable button that you can click to re-open the Dashboard. This option is useful for maximising screen estate.
Alternatively you can hide the Dashboard altogether by selecting 'Hide Dashboard' from the column header menu. (Select 'Show Dashboard' from the menu to put the Dashboard back.)
These are small controls containing buttons and dropdown relevant to a single Function, often avoiding the need to access the Function popup directly. Each toolbar contains a Config button which gives access the main popup for that Function.
Currently there are Function Toolbars for the following functions (although more are being added all the time):
This is the toolbar that appears of the left of the Dashboard (and cannot be moved or hidden). It contains the following elements
Function Dropdown - lists all the available functions in Adaptable Blotter and opens the associated popup for a selected item
Server Status Button - if selected in Config a button will appear that will show the status of the server and display as Green, Amber or Red accordingly.
About Button - opens a popup that provides information about the current grid and user.
Function Buttons - shortcuts to functions that open the associated popup when clicked
Column List Dropdown - lists all the columns in the grid in their current visibility order, together with a checkbox to hide / show the column.
By default the Dashboard contains the About, Dashboard, Smart Edit, Column Chooser and Conditional Styles Function Buttons. This means that there are many Function Buttons hidden by default, but which you can make visible if you prefer.
Administrators are able to choose which Function Buttons and Function Toolbars are available in the Dashboard, so your set-up might look different to this.
You can customise your dashboard so that it shows the controls of your choice. For example, you may decide that you want to hide the Layout Function Toolbar as you do not use it. Or you might want to change the order of the toolbars or display additional Function Buttons.
To change which function toolbars are visible
Open the Blotter Dashboard popup.
Make the changes that you require. Click on the Visible/Hidden toggle to set visibility for each Function Toolbar, or drag the grey icon in front of the name to reposition the Toolbar
Set the Zoom factor of the Dashboard if you wish to reduce the size of the Dashboard from the default of 1.
To change which Function Buttons are visible in the Home Function Toolbar:
Click the Configure button in the Home Function Toolbar
The Function Buttons Configuration screen will open
Use the Selection Tool to make changes to visibility and order of the Function Buttons as required.
