Quick Search makes it easy to find all instances of a specific value or term in a grid. You simply enter the value/term you want to search for, and Adaptable Blotter will find it. Depending on the Quick Search settings you have in place, Adaptable Blotter will highlight the matching cells, will filter the grid so that it only shows those rows that have matching cells, or do both.
You should use Quick Search when you want to search in all columns and all rows of a grid.
To perform a quick search on your grid enter the text that you want to search for in the Quick Search Function Toolbar.
Adaptable Blotter applies the search as you type.
In the image below the user has typed 'bank' into the textbox.
Depending on what Quick Search settings are in place, Adaptable Blotter will highlight matching entries, filter the grid so that you can only see rows with matching entries, or a combination of both.
You can Clear the Quick Search by clicking the close icon in the right hand side of the Textbook.
Click the Edit button in the Quick Search Function Toolbar to open the Quick Search popup. Alternatively you can access it from the Functions Dropdown or the Quick Search Function Shortcut.
Any changes made to Quick Search properties will be saved and used for all future Quick Searches.
You are also able - for some grids - to set a css style classname for Quick Search instead of setting the properties individually.
