In Adaptable Blotter, even the more complicated features are easy to use, thanks to the intuitive wizards. These are special displays that guide you through each part of the set up process, one step at a time.
Although each wizard has different options, they all work in the same way. The first 'step' of the wizard allows you to start the process, and then you progress through the steps in turn. On each step, there are a variety of options, and you will need to make one or more selections before you can move to the next step.
You can use the Back and Next buttons to move between each step of the process. The Next button is only enabled when you have performed the minimum action required for that step. You can go back to make changes to earlier steps, and there are usually Delete icons for removing selections you have made. When the wizard is completed the Finish button is enabled to complete the process.
If editing an existing item in the wizard you can click Finish whenever you want to save your changes.
Many, but not all, wizards include a step to build a query. This step is quite complex and itself can involve numerous iterations (if required). For more see Queries.
When the wizard is completed the Adaptable Blotter Object is displayed in a table appropriate for that function and can be subsequently edited, deleted or shared (read more about Adaptable Blotter Objects).
To help you to visualise where you are in the wizard, and how many more steps are required, a list of all the steps is displayed across the top of the wizard with the active step highlighted.
