AdapTable provides many functions to allow you to manage the Columns in your grid.
This is a way to manage large groups of columns. A Column Category is simply a name you give to a group of columns that you specify. The name of this category is stored with your user state.
You will most likely create your categories using at design time through Column Category Config but you can also use the Column Category screen too create and edit them at run time too.
Column Categories are most used within Column Chooser as a way to easily manage large groups of columns, but you can also use them in Conditional Style to colour just the columns in that Category.
Use the Column Chooser to select which columns are visible in your grid and in which order.
The Column Chooser is for showing/hiding the columns in your grid.
If you wish to control which rows are visible, use one of the Search Functions instead.
The Column Information function allows you to see at a glance everything relevant to a particular column.
Additionally you can use the popup to add new AdapTable objects for that column (as appropriate to its data type).
