Licences

It is free for developers to use, and build software with, the Adaptable Blotter .  However all end-users of a product which includes the Blotter in a production environment must have a valid licence.

Each licence guarantees 1 year of regular updates (we promise minimum quarterly releases but in practice we release more frequently) and full, comprehensive support.

There are currently 3 types of annual licence available:

• Production End-User:  These are sold in bands (e.g., 10, 50,100 etc) with the price per user dropping the larger the band.  The advantage of bands is that if someone new joins your team, then provided you don't exceed the number of users for your band, you can get him/her up and running immediately.

• OEM User.  For software houses, web site owners and others who cannot know or predict how many users they will have, we offer an 'OEM' model which provides unlimited usage for unlimited users for 1 year.

• Community User.  Charities, students and contributors to open-source projects can use a Community Licence which provides Adaptable Blotter free of charge.  

  Note

  The Community Licence doesn't include any support.

If, at the end of the year, you choose not to renew, Adaptable Blotter will continue to work fully and remain completely available, but you will not be eligible for further updates or to access Support.
